This is a scenic route in the mountains of the Municipality of Platanias, leading from the village of Messaulia to Sembrona. Departing from Chania, we followed the old national road and return via Alikianos village.

Expect to encounter remote villages, incredible views towards the north coast and the surrounding mountains, and stunning natural beauty. However, be prepared for an 11-kilometer stretch of passable dirt road between the villages of Ano Kefala and Sembrona but this is arguably the most scenic part of the route.
