Terms of Use

Moto-Crete.gr is an open platform dedicated to promoting motorcycle touring in Crete, while also welcoming information for general travel across the island. Here, users can freely share their experiences, publish informational materials (like route maps or accommodation reviews), and leverage the collective knowledge of the community to plan their motorcycle adventures or any Cretan explorations.

All content on Moto-Crete.gr, including descriptions, maps, photos, videos, and comments, belongs to its creators/members. Reproducing any part of this content requires the author's permission. Republishing content without permission and proper attribution is strictly prohibited.

Moto-Crete.gr does not allow content solely intended for:

  • Advertising commercial products or services (in subjects, messages, usernames, signatures, etc.)
  • Creating promotional links to other websites.

Constructive criticism of travel professionals and other topics is encouraged, as long as it remains respectful. Malicious, defamatory, or disparaging comments are strictly prohibited. Members who encounter genuine issues can report them directly to the relevant authorities.

Writing Texts

Capitals are prohibited, both in the title of the message and in its content. When you want to emphasize something, use bold characters. Aside from being tiring for the reader, writing in all caps in the internet space generally signifies "shouting," so the pointless and continuous use of them can cause misunderstandings.

If you copy any part of text from another website or any other printed or non-printed source, do not copy the entire article. Instead, include only the first few sentences and provide a link to the original source for the rest. You must also mention the source of the text at the end, and you must have the permission of the original medium before taking any text. Posting photos without the photographer's permission is also strictly prohibited.

Freedom of Expression and Content Moderation

Moto-Crete.gr encourages open discussions, valuing diverse viewpoints. However, to maintain a positive environment, abusive language and personal attacks between members are strictly prohibited. Any messages exceeding these boundaries will be removed without warning.

If a member believes that any message violates these guidelines, they should report it to the management team using the "Report" button found on each message. Publicly accusing messages of being "offensive" or questioning why a message was deleted is discouraged.

For any inquiries regarding message or member deletion, or actions taken by the management team, please send a private message instead of posting publicly on the forum.

Access to Moto-Crete.gr is a privilege, allowing you to connect and share within our community. To maintain a positive and respectful environment for all, we require users to adhere to our community guidelines. Any violation of these guidelines is considered a misuse of this privilege and may result in restricted access.

The management team reserves the right to restrict access to Moto-Crete.gr for specific users or devices to maintain a positive and productive environment.

As participation in the forum is free, the management team retains the right to remove users who consistently exhibit inappropriate behavior, including a lack of respect, adherence to ethical standards, or actions that disrupt the community. This may include removing users who create tensions, act in an unusual or problematic manner, or repeatedly violate community guidelines. The management team also has the right to delete messages that violate these guidelines.

Currently, Moto-Crete.gr does not offer self-deletion of accounts, topics, or messages. By using our platform, members acknowledge their agreement to these regulations.

Defamation and any other act that violates Greek or European law are strictly prohibited.

Each member is limited to one account on Moto-Crete.gr.

We recommend avoiding the sharing of personal information such as phone numbers or addresses on the forums. Disclosing other members' personal information without their explicit and demonstrable consent is strictly prohibited.
